Thanal Super Specialty Early Intervention Center has become a reality

Thanal, which has been making interventions across India in the fields of health, education and rehabilitation, has launched a super specialty early intervention center at Malaparam, Kozhikode in collaboration with Iqra Hospital. 

The Sheikh Rashid Super Specialty Early Intervention Center, designed with state-of-the-art facilities to provide comprehensive and scientific treatment, care and support to children with intellectual and physical developmental disabilities up to six years of age, was dedicated to the nation at 3 o’clock on Sunday by sixteen students from different special schools in the district in the presence of prominent people in the socio-cultural and health sectors. 

EIC aims to prepare children with disabilities to become self-sufficient by identifying genetic disorders and their potential during or before pregnancy, providing treatment and other supports through the earliest intervention.

With state-of-the-art facilities like Virtual Reality, Immersive Reality, Multi-Sensory and Aquatic Therapy, Doctor Service, M. RI, Genetic Counseling, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Music Therapy, Audiology, Psychology, Preparatory Classroom and other advanced systems have been prepared in the five-storey building under the leadership of health workers and professionals.

Thanal aims to provide super specialty facilities free of cost to the needy. In the inauguration ceremony, the public was given an opportunity to learn about the facilities and services of the Early Intervention Center directly from the experts.

Arangeri also staged a play ‘Chiri Ayaan Dhaksha’ performed by special school students.
